FAQ ON – LINKED IN “FEATURED MEDIA SECTION

Q. How do I upload to the Featured Media section on Linkedin?

Here are the steps to upload:

  • Select ‘Add Profile Section’ (This is found underneath your title and connections, and is the second displayed blue button.)
  • Select ‘Add Featured’ (third down from the top and a box will appear)
  • Select the ‘+’ button (top right of the box)
  • Add an article, link, or media from your computer / folder.

Q. What should I upload to the Featured Media section on LinkedIn?

The criteria for what you should upload is anything that you are proud of, wish to highlight, AND that you would be comfortable putting online. If you are using a business video or file, check first with the organization to ensure it is ok to place online, and doesn’t break protocol or confidentiality terms and conditions agreements. Here are some of many examples of items you can upload:

  • Pictures of projects you have managed and/or have been instrumental in ensuring the success of the project.
  • Videos, or links to videos. where you are featured or that you have hosted, including presentations.
  • Articles you have written or have been featured in.
  • Links to bios or portfolios, personal or professional.
  • Pictures of special events, promotions, trade shows, or conventions you have managed or participated in.
  • Marketing collateral you have written and/or designed.
  • You can upload your resume as well without your physical address.
  • Creatives should definitely use Featured Media to upload paintings, art, designs, sculptures, shows, etc.
